I've thought a lot about this photo I snapped while wandering the streets of Manhattan in the summer of 2020. I love the moment captured, the contrast of a few people in the background wearing masks and this guy walking through the frame - a leather jacket under his arm and a hand-rolled cigarette in his mouth.
I remember looking at the photo once I had returned home and how happy I was to have the same feeling I had in-person looking through the viewfinder of the camera.
I wasn't thrilled that the background was a CVS rather than a hip building downtown, but I love the light and vibe enough to share it.
New York Streets #1
I've never been a huge fan of street photography, but I can't stop creating it for some reason.
