New York Streets #3
A quick snap taken November 22nd in the West Village.

I was wandering the West Village after a haircut. It rained briefly, so I ducked into a coffee shop for cover and re-emerged caffeinated and ready to explore. I've lived in New York City for the last 20 years. I'm carrying a little pocket-size camera with me that I use to grab "real life" photos. I see two girls talking in the window of a Ramen spot. I lift up the camera and take a quick snap. I consider how many strangers I've photographed here over all those years. I also contemplate what a failure it is to have not kept and cataloged the time spent observing life. I've never been the most organized person.

I take a sip of coffee and offer myself some grace. I've shared countless unspoken moments with all these lives. It's much better to consider how beautiful it is that most of them will never know it. To think how many others have shared those moments with me, and I had no idea.
